Aminou’s testimony

Aminou is twenty-three (23) years old, he is an electrician automobile. Currently an intern, he alternates between two garages face to face, which allows it to have a lot of work. Nevertheless, he is willing to leave them to work in a company to gain experience and, later, become your own boss and hold your own garage. He has already found an associate, a friend of his, whom he has met at the training and integration center professional of Caritas, but they have not yet had the opportunity nor the means to implement this project.

However, Aminou does not give up, he and his comrade Domba know where they want to go and they have already presented pages of project studies for Aïssata, one of the trainers and accompanying person in the field. He claims that Caritas gave him given the courage and confidence to work on his own even. He explains that he learned a lot at the center, that this allowed him to earn his money, which allows him to no longer depend on his parents, and he is very grateful for that. Aminou is part of the “PAPE” promotion (Promotion of Support for the Employment Project) financed by the Association of Friends of the White Fathers.

It was through a friend that he discovered Caritas and begins his training in June 2022 for six months, a great opportunity for this young person without Baccalaureate. Following this, he was placed in a garage by Caritas so that he could complete an internship. and has since been evaluated with the aim of obtaining certification. He managed to gain the trust of his workshop manager who makes him responsible as much as possible by letting him manage repairs alone for example.

Aminou nevertheless expresses a need for tools as well as recognition in those around him.
